How do I know which class is
right for me?
English for
Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) classes are designed for
foreign-born, non-English speaking adults and those whose first
language is not English. The classes are focused on improving English
skills for jobs, continuing education, enhanced involvement with
children's education, and citizenship preparation. There are four
components to our classroom instruction - speaking, listening, reading
and writing. Students
can purchase books for $20.00 (payable in cash only).
Our classes are divided
into beginner, intermediate and
advanced levels. During
registration, students are given an
assessment that will determine their
placement in the most appropriate
class.
When do
classes meet?
Classes run from
September through May, with a winter
break in mid-December.
